Belgian winger of Ghanaian descent Jesse Bisiwu has expressed his determination to work hard and earn a place in Barcelona's first team following his official unveiling on Tuesday, August 4.
The highly-rated teenager said joining the Spanish giants is a dream come true and pledged to give everything to impress head coach Hansi Flick.
"When I was young, I always dreamed of playing for a big club like Barcelona, so being here is a dream come true for me," Bisiwu said.
The young winger revealed that Flick gave him a warm welcome and made it clear what is expected of him during his first season at the club.
"He welcomed me very well. We had some conversations, and it's very easy to understand what I have to do this year: work hard and learn as much as possible."
Bisiwu also assured fans that he will be ready whenever the opportunity to feature for the senior team arises.
"When the coach needs me, I will be there. I just want to work hard to be ready. I have seen the Camp Nou stadium on television, but not in person."
The talented winger is expected to begin his Barcelona journey with Barça Atlètic, where he will continue his development while being closely monitored by the senior technical team.
If he continues to impress, Bisiwu could earn his senior debut during the 2026/27 season, taking another significant step in what promises to be a bright football career.
